Day Rate: 07:00 – 23:00 – Normal Pricing

1st Mile £5

then there after £2.30 per mile

 delayed bookings / waiting Charges @ £20 p/h (£5 Every 15 Mins)

 

Night Rate: 23:00 – 07:00 – Price increase / Surcharge to Time & half

1st Mile £7

then there after £3.50 per mile

 delayed bookings / waiting Charges @ £30 p/h (£7.5 Every 15 Mins)

Bank Holidays – Price increase to Time & half - delayed bookings / waiting Charges @ £30 p/h (£7.5 Every 15 Mins)

 

"Time and a half refers to an increased charge

regular rate of cost plus half of that"

Add 50% to basic tariff


These charges are for local serviced area

Rural areas might have a higher rate or a higher fixed rate.


If no contact is made with the passenger the driver will wait up to 20 mins before the service is cancelled

any payments made will not be refundable, so it is advised to keep your phones and contact the company on 01483 399 157, if any problems arise.

All calls are monitored and recorded. 

Any last minute amendments please call the office rather than texting or emailing as these are not methods can cause both delay and confusion.

 

Additional Passengers & Luggage Charges 

First passenger is free, any additional passengers are charged 50p per person

Where more than four passengers carried

additional Charges are applied 

Estate Vehicle with larger boot capacity will Additional £5

5-6 passengers - Add 50% to basic tariff or Additional £12

7-8 passengers - Add 100% to basic tariff or Additional 17

Any additional luggage on the day might incur additional charges


Night Rate Over Laps


If the booking over laps into night rate. Night rate charges will also be applied, Depending on time & fare type of journey (Fixed Price or Meter price)

Fixed price jobs are usually discounted in the event of any delay the journey will incur full night rate charge at time & half

A meter price will automatically go into night rate as it is digitally programmed to do so.

 

Double Day Rate

Increase In cost by 100% of normal day rate

Timings

Double Day Rate: 23:00 on 24 December – 05:00 on 27 December

Double Day Rate: 23:00 on 31 December – 07:00 on 01 January

 

Same concept as time and half will apply

 

Airport Pricing

Day Rate: 07:00 – 23:00 – Normal Pricing

Airport Pick Up / Collection 

Pricing

Additional £10, Which covers any waiting & parking up to 45 mins

Delayed bookings - All flights are monitored, the driver is dispatched according to the information provided either by the customer or online live flight times & status Information.

If the journey was to start or end in the night rate period regardless of when and how the booking was made the full night rate will be applied for the booking, this includes a booking that involves a delayed flight.

On airport pick-ups a one hour waiting period (from flight arrival or booking time) is included in the price (unless stated) the charges after the one-hour period are priced @ £20 p/h (£5 every 15 mins)

Airport Drop off include a free 5 minutes waiting period then there after a @ £20 p/h (£5 every 15 mins)

Additional drops Incur additional charges

 

A Meet & Greet Service is inclusive of the price and is provided if requested beforehand

All luggage carried inside or outside by the passenger is the responsibility of the passenger

 

  

Please Note 

(1) The fare payable may differ for the same journey on different days if the taxi has been held up in traffic.

(2) A very short journey may be relatively expensive, due to the way the meter works. The fare will also vary depending on whether the trip was during the evening, early Saturday or Sunday morning or during certain public holidays.

(3) The driver is not required to take you on any additional stops that are not mentioned originally when making the booking.

(4) Price may increase to due to road closures/ route change as price quotation is generally based up on shortest route.

 

Non-Payment of Services

In an instance in which the passenger refuses to pay the fare or runs off without paying, this is considered a crime. If the passenger runs off without paying, this is considered theft under Section 3 of the Theft Act 1978 – Making off without payment. If the person knowingly takes a journey in cab without having money to pay but does not inform the driver of this until arrival at the destination, this is an offence under Section 11 of the Fraud Act 2006 – Obtaining services dishonestly. Similarly, if the passenger refuses to pay at the destination, this is also considered an offence under Section 11 of the Fraud Act.


Cancellations


If you need to cancel your booking, please contact our support team as soon as possible. Minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required If you wish to cancel a booking without paying full fare.


If you cancel a booking within 24 hours of making the booking, a 10% will be levied on the original payment made and the remainder will be refunded. 


If it is an immediate / asap booking this will be Non refundable payment 


If you cancel a booking giving a minimum of 24 hours’ notice, a 25% will be levied on the original payment made and the remainder will be refunded.


Less than 24 Hours all payments are Non refundable.


Termination


RYDE Taxi Service will refuse or terminate any booking with immediate effect if it places any driver or vehicle at risk of damage, violence or abuse by you or by any passenger in your party and we will ask all passengers to vacate the vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so. No refunds will be given if the journey is terminated part way through the hire. 


A payment can be requested at any time of the journey, failure to make payment can result in termination immediately.

 

Soiling Of Vehicle

Soiling the carriage leaving it unfit for immediate subs hiring incurs a minimum charge of £100
